"Our Rotary club has suffered a blow with the demise of our junior Vice President Russell Gill who was a relatively new Member to the Rotarian movement.
Russell enthused in his membership and enjoyed serving the community where he lived. His fellow club members saw his potential as a leader of the club with his congenial and friendly approach he showed to everyone.
His recent illness was indeed a surprise to everyone when he was hospitalised and the results of the investigations done meant major surgery and although this appeared to be successful, he sadly passed away.
Russell worked in hydraulics, where he ran his own small but successfull company.
Russell,is survived by his wife Jacqueline and son Russell junior."
